One thing that really stood out is how the firebox retains heat so well overnight. We load it up around 10 PM, and by the time we wake up, the house is still warm and there are coals ready to reignite with a fresh log. That was never possible with our previous stove.
The glass front is large and gives a clear view of the flames, which adds a cozy and relaxing feel to our living room. It is become a little ritual for me to sit with my coffee in the mornings and just enjoy the firelight.
Buck stove 81 is a very good stove. Prime Stove was the cheapest place to get this insert. I am very pleased and highly recommend it. You will need to order a collar for the top for the chimney pipe. I wish it had that with it, but other than that, I am very well pleased.
